Start the first word with uppercase, and make the rest lowercase

Text > Start first word with Uppercase, the rest lowercase

This utility starts the first word in each of the selected cells with an uppercase letter. The rest of the characters will be converted to lowercase letters.

For example, both the text «THIS IS A TEST», and the text «this is a test» will be changed to «This is a test».

Running this tool

Click YLC Utilities > Text > Start first word with Uppercase, the rest lowercase:

Similar to MS Word

In MS Word, you can use the Shift+F3 keys to change the case of the selected text.

In LibreOffice Calc, you can also use the Shift+F3 key combination to change the case alternately.

If you often forget this key combination, then, fortunately, you can also use the YLC Utilities extension to quickly change the case.

Simply select the cells, and then use the following tool:

YLC Utilities » Text » Start first word with Uppercase, the rest lowercase
