NBGE() Description

The NBGE() function is designed for automatic retrieval of the official Georgian Lari exchange rate directly from the National Bank of Georgia website (nbg.gov.ge) by the specified code and date.

The NBGE function significantly simplifies working with currency rates, especially for those who work with finances or keep records in various currencies. Instead of manually entering rates, you just need to use this function to get up-to-date data.

Also, you can use the "Official Currency Exchange Rates" tool, which inserts the currency rate for selected cells in one click.

Main Characteristics of the NBGE Function

Syntax:

=NBGE(CurrCode; CurrDate)

Parameters:

• CurrCode: The alphabetic code of the currency for which you want to get the rate.
• CurrDate: The date the currency rate was set.

Example of Use

The NBGE() function is simple to use. You just need to enter the currency code and date into the corresponding cells of the formula, and Excel (Calc) will automatically get the current currency rate:

=NBGE(CurrCode; CurrDate)

In this example, the following values are used:

• CurrCode: A2 - the alphabetic code for the US dollar ("USD").
• CurrDate: D1 - the date the rate was set ("01.03.23").
