DIVIDEND() Description

The DIVIDEND() function is designed for automatic retrieval of dividend data directly from the Yahoo Finance website (finance.yahoo.com) by the specified stock ticker symbol (e.g., AAPL, NVDA) and selected date.

This function is convenient for creating stock trackers in tables Excel (LibreOffice Calc) and will be useful for investors, traders, and financial analysts.


An internet connection is required for this function to work.

The DIVIDEND() function is simple to use. You just need to specify a cell with the stock code and Excel (Calc) automatically imports the dates and amounts of dividends paid within the specified range:

How It Works?

Simply enter the DIVIDEND() function into any cell, specifying the ticker and date range. Then press Ctrl+Shift+Enter to enter the array formula and LO Calc will automatically return a table with data.

To select all cells associated with the array formula, simply select any array cell and press Ctrl+/.

If you need to convert an array formula to values - select the entire array and in the Data > Calculate menu choose Formula to Value.
